FlexJet's Learjet 60XR: What's wrong with this pic?

Bombardier Aerospace's fractional ownership arm, Flexjet, has taken delivery of its very first Learjet 60XRs, a new and improved version of the venerable Learjet 60.

It's a momentous occasion no doubt, but something funky's going on with the picture that was included with the press release.

Not the odd colours mind you, those showed up when I pasted the picture in. Its more that the pilots look too big, and a bit baffled by being made the focus of a press release, as any self-respecting pilots would. Even stranger, check out how their shadows fall one way while the Learjet 60XR's goes the other way. Weird.

Maybe Bombardier exists in a different universe, one with two suns...

John,
That photo was sent (by me, on behalf of my client Flexjet) with a release, on an embargoed basis, to only a handful of publications that already have shots of the Learjet 60 XR. It was a courtesy to send that prior to their deadlines. So whoever sent it to you, and you yourself, are breaking the embargo. So much for professional courtesy. You and anyone else can now find the release, and a photo sans pilots, on Yahoo News, which was distributed today. Your weird colors are a result of your blog site, not the photo. And photographers sometimes use supplemental lighting, not a second sun – although wouldn’t that be a handy thing to have?

George Ann - While I apologize for breaking the embargo (the release was forwarded to me by a contact), I disagree that supplemental lighting was at work here, unless the photog has access to one of those light towers they use for football stadiums. You do have a good point though... And yes, two suns would be beneficial, particularly for obtaining an even tan...

John – LOL. What exactly would satisfy you – a set of contact proofs? And what if we did have stadium lighting at our disposal? After all, it’s Wichita in the off season. You and GW are totally busted. And your credentials are, what, the Acme School of Forensic Photography? Oh, please. Find something real to blog about. Like the multiple assassin theory or Area 51.

BTW, if you're looking for me in ATL next week, I'm a short, rotund man with red hair...

I am a cranky blonde with a tan (thanks to those two suns that Bombardier controls) but, alas, as a mere consultant, I am not going to be there this year. But thanks for the description. It will make it easier for my connected friends to find your kneecaps. OK, I'm done now. Truce.
